  • If you’re hooked on other people’s drama, you may be interested in the relationships subreddit, containing such highlights as the person who found her freezer full of expensive food emptied out by her cat-sitter, the woman whose boyfriend told her he was being deployed overseas but was actually running off with their savings, and more. (Of course there are creeps as well; it’s Reddit.)
  • I think a lot about the LGBTQIAP+ kids out there: how they’re affected by the garbage spewn by a lot of their parents/religious groups/political leaders, how they’re faring in our age of creeping equality, Getting Better, and AIDS cases that aren’t death sentences, &c. For their sakes, I’m glad there are authors of children’s literature and other folks coming out.
  • Monica Lewinsky gave a great interview on how it affected her to be at the center of amammoth harrassment campaign.
  • You cannot issue a 90-day weather forecast that’s worth anything. You just can’t.
  • The WHO has a new and improved guide to washing your hands. I mean, for when you’re at work and someone walks into the bathroom just as you’re about to leave.
  • This Week in Beginnings of YouTube Spirals: It seems that Super Mario World is a programming environment now, where you can move and jump your way to coding an entirely different game.
  • Best of luck to everyone getting in on the Tiny House thing. I’m not here to judge. But when you’re designing your tiny home, please think of your sex life.
  • Sometimes you have to take some classic art and update it for modern times.
  • This Week in Microscopic Work: you know a job is intense when you have to do it between heartbeats.
  • We can all join together in the common cause of loving the Canadian PM, right? Please tell me he’s actually good on policy in addition to being great at the extracurriculars we hear about in the US-centered online media.
  • African-American patients tend to get worse care from doctors, including ones who assume that they feel less pain, and if you guessed that the reason is “horrific stereotypes accepted uncritically,” you MAY be right!
  • UC Davis is spending $175000 to try to scrub images of abuses committed by cops on its campus and rehab its reputation. I’m having issues coming up with a comment other than fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeem.
