APRIL 4
1992
WCW Pro featured a ***1/2 match, as Rick Rude, Steve Austin and Arn Anderson teamed to face Barry Windham, Dustin Rhodes and Ricky Steamboat.
Miss Elizabeth finally responded firmly to Ric Flair’s accusations on WWF Superstars in an excellent segment. Liz was in shock at first and did not want to talk to anyone, but now she is angry. Meanwhile, Hulk Hogan addressed the rumors that his last match would be at Wrestlemania VIII, claiming that he would not know for sure until he stepped out of the ring.
1993
The WWF aired Wrestlemania IX live on pay-per-view from Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, NV. The show marked Hulk Hogan’s return to the WWF, as he teamed with Brutus Beefcake against Money Inc. while Bret Hart defended the title against Yokozuna on top. Of course, there was a poorly received post-match angle where Hogan the character feigned concern for Bret so he could goad Yokozuna into a match and take his title. The show did approximately 501,000 buys, and you can watch it on the WWE Network.
