Kris Zellner is joined by David Bixenspan (Between The Sheets) and Beau James (King of Kingsport) to discuss the life and times of Lance Russell. We talk about Lance’s appeal as an announcer, his humbleness in real life, his greatest moments in Memphis and WCW, what he meant to each of us personally, and much more. The show also closes with a selection of classic Lance clips. This is a labor of love, so please check it out.

Awesome show. Lance’s passing was the impetus to get me into Memphis and I’ve made it through the 79 playlist on YouTube. It’s fantastic and I know they haven’t even hit their stride yet.
Now to find that run of the Lance Russell/Freebirds version of Pro! I’ve got a big hole from late 89 to early 90, then almost none of Lance’s version from August 90 on. I stumbled upon the 1990 year in review that you referenced but that’s about all I have from those gaps other than a May 1991 episode with Lance and DDP. I don’t know if they were a team for long but I assume DDP took over for the Freebirds based on that allegiance.
