This Week In 90’s Wrestling: April 5th – April 11th


JWP held a card in Yokohama which included a **** tag match where Dynamite Kansai teamed with Takako Inoue against Mayumi Ozaki and Kyoko Inoue.

JWP held a card at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo where Hikari Fukuoka defeated Dynamite Kansai to win the Openweight Title in a ****1/4 match.

Megumi Kudo continued her retirement tour in LLPW, teaming with Shinobu Kandori, Michiko Omukai and Kaori Nakayama against Shark Tsuchiya, Eagle Sawai, Sayori Okino and Miss Mongol in a ****1/4 match.

WWF Monday Night RAW aired live from Muncie, IN, in front of 3,353 fans. The highlight of the show was easily the Shawn Michaels interview where he aired many of his legitimate, real-life grievances with Bret Hart. The interview had Shawn venting about what he saw as Bret’s disrespect to him during his run as a top guy while also criticizing him for leveraging WCW against the WWF to secure such a great contract, even adding in that if Bret could make a buck, he would sell his mother. The show did a 2.2 rating.
