- Carolina Panthers (117 pts): Carolina has clinched a playoff berth clinches NFC South and first-round bye with a win or New Orleans loss in Week 17. Carolina clinches NFC South and home-field advantage throughout NFC playoffs with a win, Seattle loss and San Francisco win in Week 17.
- New England Patriots (110 pts): New England has clinched a playoff berth and clinches a first-round bye with a win or Cincinnati loss and Indianapolis loss in Week 17. New England clinches home-field advantage throughout AFC playoffs with a win and Denver loss in Week 17.
- New Orleans Saints (110 pts): New Orleans clinches a playoff berth with a win or San Francisco loss or Arizona loss in Week 17. New Orleans clinches NFC South and a first-round bye with a win and Carolina loss in Week 17.
- Arizona Cardinals (102 pts): Arizona clinches a playoff berth with a win and New Orleans loss in Week 17.
- Kansas City Chiefs (102 pts):Kansas City will be the #5 seed in the AFC playoffs and play at the #4 seed in the Wild Card round.
- Cincinnati Bengals (97 pts): Cincinnati has clinched a playoff berth and clinches first-round bye with a win and New England loss in Week 17.
- Indianapolis Colts (96 pts):Indianapolis has clinched a playoff berth and clinches first-round bye with a win, New England loss and Cincinnati loss in Week 17.
- Philadelphia Eagles (93 pts): Philadelphia clinches a playoff berth and he NFC East with a win or tie in Week 17.
- San Diego Chargers (82 pts): San Diego clinches a playoff berth with a win, Baltimore loss and Miami loss in Week 17.
- Chicago Bears (77 pts): Chicago clinches a playoff berth and the NFC North with a win or tie in Week 17.
- Baltimore Ravens (75 pts): Baltimore clinches a playoff berth with a win and San Diego loss or a win and Miami loss or a Pittsburgh loss, San Diego loss and a Miami loss in Week 17.

- St. Louis Rams (53 pts): Eliminated from postseason contention.
