Hard-Traveling Fanboys Podcast #175: The Longbook Hunters — The Boys Vol. 1: The Name of the Game

The wildly popular new Amazon Prime TV series “The Boys” has its roots in a comic book of the same name by Garth Ennis (Preacher) and Darick Robertson (Transmetropolitan), and our own Hard-Traveling Fanboys dedicate this month’s Longbook Hunt to the first trade collection of the 70-plus-issue series. Nick and Greg compare The Boys to Ennis’ other work, and they delve into the complex morality of Billy Butcher and his band of misfits. Mild-mannered reporters by day, Greg Phillips and Nick Duke share an intense love of comic books that has made them the Hard-Traveling Fanboys. Over the course of their travels through comicdom, they have encountered numerous stories via the wonder of trade paperbacks and graphic novels. Once a month, Nick and Greg will review one of those collections in The Longbook Hunters.
