Daily Discussion Thread 7/3/17

Hey! It’s Monday… some of you are off for the holiday, others aren’t, but either way, you can spend some time chatting here! Of course, RAW is tonight so we will be talking and covering that but here are a few other things to keep you busy too:

If you are in the mood for some 1993 nostalgia, on Greetings from Allentown Peter recapped the 7/11/93 episode of WWF Challenge, which covered the USS Intrepid showdown between Yokozuna and America!

Also, from the archives, JT breaks down other possible candidates besides Lex Luger that could have slammed Yokozuna on July 4, 1993 in this piece

We also have plenty of NJPW’s G1 Special coverage as well from Ioan and the Strong Style boys! See you in the comments!

      1. Pauly was the smartest dude on this show… you can see the shift where he realizes he needed to change his personality from typical guido to likable dude to help his DJ career. And it worked, everyone liked him the most by the end.

          1. On the other end of the spectrum, a buddy of mine works as a reporter and met with Snooki and said she is an awful person.

    1. When I click on a link here it doesn’t open to a new tab, is that my settings (i suck at IT) or is that maybe a fix you can make for the chats?

  1. NBC News: Led by freshman Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland, a group of growing Democratic co-signers has put forth a bill that could force President Donald Trump from office if he were found mentally or physically unfit.
Although it was introduced in April, the bill has gained steam in the past week as Trump’s tweet storms have grown in ferocity.

        1. I can’t see LeBron staying in Cleveland at this point. He did what he came back to do… he should be allowed to pursue the best chance for rings. LA with George makes sense… but the West is so stacked does it really give him the best chance? Will be interesting…

          1. The West being loaded is why i think he stays in the East. Be interesting to see how Cleveland would handle him leaving again even though he finally gave them a ring. Softens the blow, I’m guessing.

  2. It’s not exciting per say but the Hart/Backlund Survivor Series match is pretty great. I love all the reversals and the chain wrestling the two do.

    1. Yes it is a fun watch for sure… so different than anything else. Having now watched all the 94 Raws helps with context too… shows just how elevated Backlund was in that stretch.

  3. Looks like the Broken gimmick is getting even closer to showing up in WWE…Hardys are about to work out a deal with Anthem, per Matt on Twitter.

  4. Hey, yo:

Anybody planning on seeing the sweet festival movies released this month: “The Big Sick,” “The Beguiled,” “Baby Driver,” or “Okja?”
